- Ken is President of Habitat for Humanity of Michigan and the International Church Relations Coordinator with the National Council of Churches in Christ and Habitat for Humanity International. Ken has worked with Habitat for Humanity since 1985, helping to organize 87 affilates in Michigan, develop the Prison Build Program, and has raised over $20 million for Michigan affiliates. In 2002, he was the first recipient of the Terrence Duvernay Award for his visionary leadership in the Michigan nonprofit housing industry.

- Kathy joined Habitat for Humanity of Michigan in March 1999. She administers the Prison Build Program and Computers for Families, organizes the biannual AIM Conference, and represents HFHM on the Michigan Conference on Affordable Housing planning committee. Kathy works with disbursements of the MSHDA DPA grants and Low Income Energy Efficiency Grants. Kathy and her husband Ron have two grown children.

- Tom joined the staff of Michigan Habitat in November 2007 following 10 years with Habitat for Humanity International and four years as an Executive Director of a Habitat affiliate. During his time with HFHI he served as an Affiliate Support Manager and as Director of the Thrivent Builds With Habitat program. Tom and his wife have restored a 125 old house in which they reside in Linden.

- Michelle joined Habitat for Humanity of Michigan in 2008. She comes to the organization with many years experience in communications for statewide associations. She also spent several years working as a public relations consultant. Michelle will be overseeing the organization's internal and external communications and working with affiliates to maximize public awareness about Habitat and its mission throughout the state. Michelle and her husband, Chris, have two sons, a daughter and one grandson. She's a voracious reader in the winter and an avid golfer in the summer.

- Debi has led our AmeriCorps program since August 2000. The program started with 11 members and has expanded to work with over 100 members, twice being recognized in the Governor's Service Awards. Debi has recently expanded her position to Director of National Service Programs by starting a VISTA program as well as a Senior Corps program. Debi is married to Jay Drick, an attorney in Howell. They have 3 children and 2 grandchildren.

- Vicky Searles joined Habitat Michigan team in April 2004. She says "I work with some great people and really like my job as bookkeeper for Habitat for Humanity of Michigan." Vicky grew up in Harrison, Michigan and moved to St. Johns, Michigan where she lives on a small farm. She has four children and nine granchildren. Her hobbies include quilting, bowling, roller-blading, cross-country skiing, biking, reading, gardening and walking her dogs.

- Doris has worked for Habitat for Humanity of Michigan since May 1998. She manages many administrative tasks for Ken Bensen, President of HFHM, and provides valuable office support to all HFHM staff members. Doris and her husband Dale have raised seven children, and are proud grandparents of eight grandchildren. Doris enjoys spending time with her family, reading, walking, and attending local sports teams basketball and football games.
