Computers for Families

Through a partnership between the Michigan Department of Corrections and state and local Realtor Associations, Habitat for Humanity of Michigan provides computers to Habitat for Humanity homeowners in Michigan.
Computers donated to the Department of Corrections are reconditioned by inmates at the Ryan Correctional Facility at a cost of $150 per computer. The $150 reconditioning cost per computer is paid by donations from the Michigan Association of Realtors.
"These computers will give families a great opportunity to further their children's education especially their understanding of computers, which is so important in today's society," says Dr. Ken Bensen, President of Michigan Habitat.
"We can expect to see better grades in Habitat homes because of this extraordinary statewide community partnership between the Realtors and the Department of Corrections."
