- The orientation of the home on the lot;
- Utilizing an accessible floor plan;
- Framing in a way that uses less wood and more insulation;
- Properly sealing the home from air and moisture;
- Installing the correct size of heating equipment;
- Taking advantage of energy effiencent windows and doors;
along with other important construction and non-construction related issues.
