Sustainable Building

Sustainable building begins even before the first hammer is swung. It starts with careful evaluation, planning, and dedication to a healthy end-product for the family and the environment. Sustainability applies to

  • The orientation of the home on the lot;
  • Utilizing an accessible floor plan;
  • Framing in a way that uses less wood and more insulation;
  • Properly sealing the home from air and moisture;
  • Installing the correct size of heating equipment;
  • Taking advantage of energy effiencent windows and doors;

along with other important construction and non-construction related issues.
