SpartanNash Foundation supports Habitat for Humanity during fundraising effort

The SpartanNash Foundation – the charitable giving arm of SpartanNash and its family of stores – is teaming up with Habitat for Humanity of Michigan to help more Michiganders build a strong foundation and a path toward homeownership.

Between Feb. 12-23, if you visit any of the participating stores in your area, you’ll have the opportunity to donate $1, $5, $10 or round up to the nearest dollar at any checkout lane. One hundred percent of all funds raised through the stores and the SpartanNash Foundation will go directly to Habitat for Humanity!  Together, we are building stronger communities.

“The SpartanNash Foundation is proud to work with Habitat for Humanity and other community nonprofit organizations that provide hunger relief, secure shelter and support our military heroes,” said Meredith Gremel, vice president of corporate affairs and communications and executive director of the SpartanNash Foundation. “Through our retail scan campaigns, we have developed many strong partnerships with local Habitats, and, together with our store guests and associates, we are excited to continue to support their efforts in our local communities in 2020.

“By working with our Habitat for Humanity partners, we can ensure that all dollars donated during our retail scan campaign will have a significant impact right in our local communities.”

Since 2006, SpartanNash, the SpartanNash Foundation and our generous store guests have raised and granted nearly $1.9 million to support local Habitats and hardworking homebuyers.

Join us as we build much more than homes in communities across Michigan by visiting your nearest SpartanNash store! The fundraising effort ends on February 23!
