About the Grant

MSHDA’s FSS Goal Assistance Grant allows our participants to use up to $750.00 per household to provide support. These funds must be used to help you achieve one of your FSS goals.

The funds are limited and available through December 31, 2026. Requests for funding will be reviewed/approved on a first come first serve basis.

Eligibility Requirements

Participant has been in the FSS program for at least 6 months.
Participant is in good standing with their Housing Choice Voucher and FSS Contract of Participation.

Possible Uses for the Funds:

Childcare	Invoice payments
Transportation	Fees including license and plate renewal, and reinstatement of license	Statement/Invoice with vendor information to include address, phone, and website. Must also include participant information.
	Insurance premium, including initial down payment if needed
	Auto repair	Proof of ownership and invoice for repair.
	Ride share pass
Education	Enrollment/ Registration fees	Statement/Invoice with vendor information to include address, phone, and website. Must also include participant information.
Education	Supplies
Employment Supports	Enrollment /Registration fees	Statement/Invoice with vendor information to include address, phone, and website. Must also include participant information.
	Activation fee for digital devices including internet, Wi-Fi, and cellular services
	Bill that impacts employability
	Work clothes
	Computer/Laptop
	Computer applications such as Microsoft product
Homeownership and housing counseling	Enrollment/Registration fees for homeownership education	Statement/Invoice with vendor information to include address, phone, and website. Must also include participant information.
Homeownership and housing counseling	Homebuyer Assistance including pre-paid costs, down payment, and closing costs
