Habitat for Humanity Capital Region Named 2025 Michigan Large Affiliate of the Year
LANSING, Mich. — September 4, 2025 — Habitat for Humanity of Michigan is proud to announce that Habitat for Humanity Capital Region has been named the 2025 Michigan Large Affiliate of the Year. This award recognizes the affiliate’s outstanding leadership, innovative programs, and dedication to serving families in the Greater Lansing area and surrounding communities.
The Large Affiliate of the Year Award is presented annually to a Habitat affiliate that demonstrates exceptional achievement in expanding affordable housing opportunities, strengthening community partnerships, and mobilizing volunteers. Habitat Capital Region was selected from nominations across the state for its proven impact in advancing Habitat’s mission at scale, setting a high standard for service, collaboration, and community transformation.

As part of the award, Habitat for Humanity Capital Region will receive:
- $1,500 in funding to advance its mission
- Complimentary registration for one representative to attend the Affiliates in Motion (AIM) Conference
- Recognition at the 2025 AIM Awards Banquet on October 29, 2025, at Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan
This honor underscores the critical role large affiliates like Habitat Capital Region play in addressing Michigan’s housing challenges. By leveraging the strength of local partnerships and the dedication of volunteers, the affiliate continues to expand its reach and provide lasting solutions for families in need of safe, affordable housing.
Habitat for Humanity Capital Region will be celebrated alongside other statewide award recipients during the AIM Conference Awards Banquet, a gathering of Habitat affiliates, supporters, and partners from across Michigan.
