What is the Homes of the Brave Partnership?

Stronger homes start with partnership.

The Homes of the Brave Partnership brings Veterans and Military-connected families together with Habitat for Humanity and Veteran-serving partners to help preserve safe, sustainable homes and support long-term independence.

We approach this work as a partnership. That means listening to you, understanding your goals, and working together to identify the right people, resources, and next steps for your household.

The Partnership is designed for coordinated home preservation, not rapid-response or emergency repairs. Depending on your situation, the process may take time and may involve several community partners and resources.

The Partnership is not currently accepting new applications.

If you are interested in the Partnership, you can join our Interest List. When intake becomes available in your area, we may contact you about the opportunity to take the next step.

Joining the Interest List is not an application and does not guarantee eligibility, funding, or assistance.

You do not need to tell us about your home, finances, military service history, or repair needs right now.

How Do I Know if I Qualify?

If you are a US Military veteran – Wartime, peacetime, Guard, and Reserves, or a surviving spouse, dependent child, or a Gold Star family, we encourage you to fill out the form and see if you qualify. Habitat for Humanity of Michigan and its partners are dedicated to honoring your service and are looking forward to answering your questions and walking through the qualification process with you.
