Cadillac Area Habitat for Humanity Selected as the 2025 Michigan ReStore of the Year
LANSING, Mich. — September 4, 2025 — Habitat for Humanity of Michigan is proud to announce that Cadillac Area Habitat for Humanity has been named the 2025 Michigan ReStore of the Year. This honor recognizes the Cadillac Area ReStore for its outstanding contributions to supporting affordable housing through innovation, community impact, and dedication to Habitat’s mission.
The Michigan ReStore of the Year Award is presented annually to an affiliate whose ReStore demonstrates exceptional service, leadership, and creativity in strengthening its community. The Cadillac Area ReStore was selected from nominations across the state for its success in engaging donors, volunteers, and shoppers to generate critical funding for Habitat’s mission of building homes, communities, and hope.
“We are incredibly honored that the Cadillac ReStore has been recognized as ReStore of the Year by Habitat Michigan. This award reflects the dedication of our staff, volunteers, donors, and customers who make the ReStore such a vital part of our community. Together, we are not only keeping materials out of landfills, but also helping build safe and affordable homes for families right here in the Cadillac area.” – Amy Gibbs, Executive Director, Cadillac Area Habitat for Humanity
As part of the award, Cadillac Area Habitat for Humanity will receive:
- $1,500 in funding to further its mission
- Complimentary registration for one representative to attend the Affiliates in Motion (AIM) Conference
- Recognition at the 2025 AIM Awards Banquet on October 29, 2025, at Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan
The award highlights the vital role ReStores play in Habitat’s work across the state. By reselling donated building materials, furniture, and home goods, ReStores generate revenue that directly funds the construction and preservation of affordable homes.
Cadillac Area Habitat for Humanity will be honored alongside other statewide award recipients at the AIM Conference Awards Banquet, where affiliates, partners, and volunteers will gather to celebrate their collective achievements.
