Governor Whitmer Highlights the State’s Partnership with Habitat for Humanity

Governor Gretchen Whitmer visited the Cadillac area to attend community events and visit local businesses. During her visit, Governor Whitmer addressed the critical need for affordable workforce housing across Michigan and highlighted the pivotal role of organizations like Habitat for Humanity in this effort.

Governor Whitmer attended various community events and toured businesses in Cadillac and Reed City to gain insights into local economic challenges and opportunities. Her engagement underscores the state’s commitment to fostering partnerships with organizations like Habitat for Humanity to provide accessible housing solutions for Michigan residents.

Amy Gibbs, Executive Director of Cadillac Area Habitat for Humanity captured this video where Governor Whitmer answered a question from a young lady in the audience about affordable housing, commenting on Habitat for Humanity’s partnership with the state to address the issue.
