Every day across Michigan, Habitat for Humanity affiliates and ReStores are making extraordinary impacts in their communities. Now is your chance to help us recognize the organizations that exemplify the very best of our mission in action.
Affiliate of the Year Award
This award honors exceptional Michigan Habitat affiliates that demonstrate outstanding performance, innovation, and collaboration within our network. We’re looking for affiliates that:
- Overcome challenges with innovative solutions — showing creativity and resourcefulness in the face of obstacles
- Collaborate across the Habitat network — actively engaging with other affiliates and Habitat Michigan to share knowledge and resources
- Demonstrate growth in production — achieving measurable increases in construction, repairs, or services to families
Who can nominate? Anyone who has witnessed the powerful impact of a local Habitat affiliate—staff members, volunteers, board members, community partners, or supporters.
ReStore of the Year Award
ReStores are vital to our mission—serving as fundraising engines while promoting sustainability and community engagement. This award celebrates a Michigan ReStore that exemplifies excellence in:
- Innovation in store operations — implementing creative strategies that enhance performance and mission impact
- Community engagement & mission visibility — connecting the ReStore to Habitat’s broader mission through outreach and partnerships
- Operational excellence & growth — demonstrating strong performance in sales, donor development, volunteer engagement, or expansion
Who can nominate? Anyone familiar with a ReStore’s exceptional work—customers, volunteers, staff members, donors, or community partners.
Selection Process
After nominations close, Habitat for Humanity of Michigan will:
- Review all submissions
- Conduct site visits to nominated affiliates and ReStores
- Prepare summaries for the Board of Directors
- Announce winners at the 2025 Affiliates in Motion Conference Awards Banquet (October 27-30 at Soaring Eagle Resort)
